Point 24: Subjects and Verbs

In general, make the action of a sentence hinge on its subject and verb. Instead of "Our conversation concerned the Presidential race," use "We discussed the Presidential race." Eliminating the wimpy verb "concerned" puts the sentence's weight on "we" and "discussed," the sentence's agent and main action.
