Resources for Research
Here's a good example of how research can be useful: I wanted to write a brief introduction to the kinds of sources you can use for undergraduate research, how to find them, and what to watch out for on the Internet. Then I did some research of my own, and I found that my friend Jack Lynch had already done all the work for me. Now all I have to do is sprinkle some hypertext dust, and I can take you to Jack's page on research and his wonderful short page on using the Internet.
Grinnell College students can find a great deal of information on Burling Library's Doing Research page, which can serve primarily as a reminder of how much the reference librarians can help you if you go talk to them about your research interests.
